Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 Pound (3 large) Granny Smith Apples
  • 24 Ounces (about 4 cups) Blackberries
  • 1/4 Cup Maple Syrup
  • 2 Tablespoons Lemon Juice
  • 1 Tablespoon Vanilla Extract
  • 3 Tablespoons Cornstarch/Arrowroot
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Cup Rolled Oats
  • 1 Cup Oat or Almond Flour
  • 1/3 Cup Finely Chopped Pecans
  • 1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 Cup Maple Syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Peel peel cube the apples.
  3. In a large bowl toss the apples, blackberries, maple syrup, lemon juice, vanilla, cornstarch, and salt.
  4. Place the filling in a 9-inch pie dish or other baking dish.
  5. In a medium bowl, mix the oats, flour, pecans, cinnamon, and salt.
  6. Sir in maple syrup until the mixture becomes clumpy.
  7. Place the topping mixture on top of the fruit.
  8. Bake for 35-40 minutes, until the top is crispy and the fruit is starting to bubble.
