Ingredients
- 1 1/2 Pound (3 large) Granny Smith Apples
- 24 Ounces (about 4 cups) Blackberries
- 1/4 Cup Maple Syrup
- 2 Tablespoons Lemon Juice
- 1 Tablespoon Vanilla Extract
- 3 Tablespoons Cornstarch/Arrowroot
- 1/4 Teaspoon Salt
- 1 Cup Rolled Oats
- 1 Cup Oat or Almond Flour
- 1/3 Cup Finely Chopped Pecans
- 1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 Cup Maple Syrup
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Peel peel cube the apples.
- In a large bowl toss the apples, blackberries, maple syrup, lemon juice, vanilla, cornstarch, and salt.
- Place the filling in a 9-inch pie dish or other baking dish.
- In a medium bowl, mix the oats, flour, pecans, cinnamon, and salt.
- Sir in maple syrup until the mixture becomes clumpy.
- Place the topping mixture on top of the fruit.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes, until the top is crispy and the fruit is starting to bubble.
