Filling
- 4-5 Apples, (Granny Smith & Honeycrisp) cored and sliced
- 1/3 c. Maple Syrup
- 1/4 Cup Runny Pecan Butter
- 2 Tablespoons Lemon Juice (about 1 small lemon)
- 1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1 Teaspoon Vanilla
- 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
Crust
- 1 2/3 Cup Oat Flour
- 1/4 Cup + 1 Tablespoon Maple Syrup
- 1/4 Cup + 1 Tablespoon Pecan Butter
- 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- In a large bowl, toss the apples, maple syrup, lemon juice, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt. Let the mixture sit while you prepare the crust.
- In another large bowl, whisk the oat flour, salt, and cinnamon. Stir in the maple syrup and pecan butter until a dough forms.
- Press the crust mixture into the bottom and sides of a 9” round tart pan.
- Arrange the apples over the crust. Drizzle with any remaining liquid from the apple marinade.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, until the crust is brown and the apples are soft.
- Let cool slightly. Serve and enjoy!
