Ingredient Notes & Substitutions
- Chili Powder: chili powder adds some spice - it's not too overwhelming, but if you don't like spice at all, feel free to decrease the amount. You could also use another spice like cayenne.
- Garlic Powder: for more texture you could use granulated garlic or freeze dried garlic.
- Onion Powder: same as the garlic - for more texture you could use granulated onion or freeze dried onion.
- Smoked Paprika: I like smoked paprika because it not only gives that sweet peppery flavor, it also has a smokiness. You can use regular paprika as a sub.
- Cumin: cumin has a sweet, earthy flavor that's great in tacos. For a fresh flavor you can buy cumin seed and grind it into a spice.
- Salt: I used kosher salt. Table salt will work fine too.

How to make Homemade Taco Seasoning
Step 1. Stir all the spices in a small bowl.
