Make a vegan buffalo chicken dip for your next party. This creamy, spicy dip is a protein packed version of the classic dip.
I'm not really a football person, but if I did host super bowl watch parties, I would for sure be serving this buffalo chicken dip. It's creamy, slightly spicy, and loaded with protein!
Sometimes my struggle with vegan versions of recipes is that they match the flavor of a dish but not the macros. A standard buffalo chicken dip recipe is creamy and spicy AND is a good source of protein. So why can't the vegan version be like that too?
Welp, this version is. I used my seitan chicken recipe to up the protein content of this dip.
Serve just like you would a regular buffalo chicken dip with some carrots, celery, and your favorite crackers. Delicious!
Step 1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Step 2. Mix all ingredients except the chicken in a large bowl, ensuring the cream cheese is well incorporated.
Step 3. Fold in the chicken.
Step 4. Transfer the mixture into a small baking dish.
Step 5. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until mixture is heated through.
Step 6. Sprinkle with green onions. Serve warm, with crackers, carrots, and celery.
A soft cream cheese will help you avoid a lumpy dip - you want to make sure the cream cheese is well blended into the yogurt and buffalo sauce.
Sub chickpeas or shredded jackfruit for the seitan chicken
Thank you God for this dip. Allow it to nourish our bodies as we gather with friends and family. Amen.
