This 5-minute vegan Honey Butter is super easy to whip up. Make completely plant-based honey butter without oil or vegan butter. Quick, easy, and healthy - you can spread this honey butter on everything!
I've lost count of the number of times I've made this delicious honey butter. It seriously tastes great on everything!
My craziest food to pair it with: broccoli.
But honestly, it tasted ah-mazing on broccoli. Like I said, it tastes great on everything.
Let's get into it...
Honey butter is (traditionally) a compound of honey and butter.
You mix softened butter, honey, and maybe some cinnamon for a sweet, rich spread.
Many people make honey butter chicken or honey butter biscuits. It's that full flavor + sweet combo that adds a little something to otherwise basic recipes.
Traditional honey butter is not vegan.
Neither honey, nor butter, are technically vegan. Butter is made from dairy, which comes from cows. Honey is also an animal product - it comes from bees.
Strict vegans avoid honey because it is an animal product.
I've created that same rich, decadent, sweet flavor of traditional honey butter without the honey or the butter.
Step 1. Mix all the ingredients in a small bowl.
Step 2. For extra creamy honey butter, refrigerate for 30 minutes, until the mixture is thick.
Step 3. Enjoy!
Now that you have your super duper creamy vegan honey butter, what will you do with it? The possibilities are endless:
Thank you God for this honey butter. Help us to enjoy the food we eat it with. Amen.
