Are you team smoothie or team smoothie bowl?
I used to drink smoothies a lot, but now I'm definitely team smoothie bowl!
My favorite part is decorating. It's so fun to make your food gorgeous before eating it. And with a smoothie bowl you can spend as much time as you want beautifying your smoothie.
I also enjoy the "bowl" part of a smoothie bowl. It's nice to sit down with the bowl and a spoon and feel like I'm actually eating a meal.
That said, if you're on the go it makes perfect sense to skip the bowl all together and go straight for the reusable thermos (or your smoothie vessel of choice).
If you do choose the cup option instead of the bowl, you'll want to add some more milk to create a more drinkable consistency. The last thing you want is half your smoothie all over your face because it was too thick for you to drink!
Whichever option you choose, this Cherry Berry Smoothie Bowl is a delicious dish!
It's made with only a few simple ingredients. I love how recipes using whole food ingredients turn out to be so tasty, even when they aren't fancy. Simple is often better!
Smoothies are notoriously simple to make. My only tip is to let your frozen fruit thaw for a few minutes before you blend. This makes the blending so much easier and helps avoid brain freeze!
Other than that, just throw all the ingredients in your blender or food processor and blend away.
Pour the smoothie into a bowl and have fun decorating it! I used cherries, blueberries, and coconut flakes. You could get creative with nuts, seeds, yogurt, or other toppings of choice. Enjoy!
